Delta N.V. is a major energy company in the Zeeland region, and Atos Origin Nederland managed their IT infrastructure through an extensive outsourcing partnership. The environment comprised around 2,500 workstations and over 300 Windows servers.
My responsibilities included:
- Participating in the virtualization of more than 300 Windows servers to VMware ESX v3.5 as part of a large-scale outsourcing and data center migration project (from Middelburg to Eindhoven)
- Daily operational management, incident resolution, and implementing changes across Windows Server, VMware ESX 3.5, Exchange 2003, and Citrix MetaFrame 4.5 environments
- Patch management for all Windows and VMware systems
- Managing two Hitachi USP-V 1000 storage machines
- Supporting various IT projects alongside regular operational duties
