Servicepunt71 functioned as a centralized service hub supporting four municipalities: Leiden, Leiderdorp, Zoeterwoude, and Oegstgeest. The organization delivered comprehensive services spanning IT, HR, finance, legal, procurement, and facilities management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitored and sustained performance and availability across Windows Server, Exchange 2010, and VMware systems while collaborating with the offshore monitoring team
  • Executed routine operational procedures, including backup tape management
  • Provided advanced technical support to application and functional administrators
  • Developed PowerShell automation for Active Directory and Exchange routine tasks
  • Deployed and configured new Windows servers within the VMware ESX environment
  • Designed and coordinated patch schedules for all VMware ESX hosts, prioritizing zero-downtime updates

Technical Environment

Approximately 300 virtualized Windows Server 2008 machines distributed across roughly 30 VMware ESX 4.1 hosts, with backup infrastructure managed through Tivoli Storage Manager. Partial offshore monitoring staffing based in Indonesia.
